Great post from Seth breaking down the election

Another great post from Seth Godin arrived in my email inbox this morning. It was his breakdown on how the election was run on both sides and why one candidate will win and the other won’t. It is not partisan at all….he just does an analysis based on his theories on tribes, permission, and more. I may have to nominate Seth for the monthly disruptive leadership award if he continues to produce these insightful tidbits. I’m sure he will be delighted.

Hi,
My name is Lara Glew. I’ve just visited your site and I was wondering if you’d be interested in exchanging links with my website. I can offer you a home page link back from my Recycling website which would be (http://www.ekamo.org/) Page Rank 2
Your link will be placed here:
http://www.ekamo.org/ PR2 (It`s a recycling website)
As mentioned, your link would be placed on the site home page, not on any “links” pages which may be buried in the site somewhere.
If you are interested please add the following information to your website and kindly let me know when it´s ready and I will do the same for you in less than 24 hours, otherwise you can delete my link from your site.
TITLE: Recycling
URL: http://www.snaffleup.co.uk
DESCRIPTION: SnaffleUp The recycling web site designed to keep useful items out of landfill.
Or you can use the following html code:
Recycling Site - SnaffleUp The recycling web site designed to keep useful items out of landfill.
I hope you have a nice day and thank you for your time,
Lara Glew

@Lara I looked for at your site and I do not think there is enough synergy between our two web sites that would make sense to link back.
As a compromise, I have approved your comment for posting so your link is here, even though the comment has nothing to do with the blog post. All the best,
Mark

Mark thanks for sharing the Seth Godin post. Easier to understand his thesis on tribes when he puts it in terms of the election, something we can all relate to.
Takeaway for me: it’s easier to make the slightly motivated do something than try to convince the totally unmotivated. Sounds so obvious, but how many times have I chased my tail trying to convince people with no interest in losing weight to adopt the lifestyle changes my site advocates???
