Ncomputing fulfils criteria #1 and could be the next thought leader. Consortium members can include non-technology partners for a more 'diversified' portfolio of member to deliver results.

For example, rural ecovillages taught by Permaculture teachers in sustainable polyculture - overcoming problems such as depleted soil, non-existent budget for chemical fertilizers, lack of clean water and energy for cooking/lighting/heat.

Technology is part of the equation of holistic living - access to information. But, it is also integrated with energy consumption, less material waste - principles which in Permaculture schools teach. Permaculture produces results at very low cost (except for labor).

Message is simple, Integrated Sustainable Living - what role do technology players such as Intel, AMD, OLPC, and Microsoft play in that?

As long as we get the 'sustainable' part right, it continues to grow, even as we change who the technology players are or what the technology evolves into - fulfilling criteria #2 and #3. Criteria #4 has been tested to work....
